We all know that in the world of Biometrics, it is primarily Fingerprint Recognition which is the predominant technology being used today to confirm the identity of a particular individual.  There have been many advancements made out in this realm, with the technology getting smaller and smaller so that it can fit onto a Smarpthone, as well ultra fast algorithms for both template creation and verification/identification.  In today's radio show, we have the pleasure to interview Mr. Philip Scarfo, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Lumidigm (which is also a division of HID Global).  This company has pioneered the use of Fingerprint Recognition by developing a technology known as "Multispectral Imaging".  With this breakthrough, not only can the unique features on the top of the surface of the fingerprint be extracted, but from the subsurface of the skin as well.  In this interview, we learn more about this, and the features and benefits it presents to the market applications of Biometrics.
