The post mentions what seems to be an "understanding" that white women "deserve" a "financially responsible" man, while black women are expected to "love broken men". It also mentions that in return, black men tend nitpick black women all the down to our skin tone and butt size.    In this broadcast I'll be discussing why it seems that SOME black seem to have a double standard when it comes to black women and finance. As usual, I welcome all listeners to call in and share their insights and opinions as to why this minset seems to exist. I look forward to hearing from y'all !!! 00:29:00AdamsRibnoblack women, black people, black community, black men, menI'm discussing the racial double standard black men apply to black women when it comes to romance and financeShould Single Parents be Celebrated on BOTH Mother's/Father's Days??http://www.blogtalkradio.com/anjanettespeak/2017/06/17/should-single-parents-be-celebrated-on-both-mothersfathers-daysLifestylehttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/anjanettespeak/2017/06/17/should-single-parents-be-celebrated-on-both-mothersfathers-days/#commentshttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/anjanettespeak/2017/06/17/should-single-parents-be-celebrated-on-both-mothersfathers-daysSat, 17 Jun 2017 03:00:00 GMTShould Single Parents be Celebrated on BOTH Mother's/Father's Days??For the last couple of Father's Days (specifically), there's been a lot of talk about whether or not single mothers should be celebrated on Father's Day. I, personally, don't have an issue with children who want to celebrate their mothers if she's been parenting alone since she's doing a job that was created to be done by two people. BTW, I also don't have a problem father's who are parenting alone being wished a "Happy Mother's Day" and have said it to a few. Anyway, I want to hear from you on this topic. RESPECTFULLY. And why you do or don't think it's a good idea. I will also give my annual Father's Day shoutout to all father/father figures/stepfathers/uncles/foster fathers/and all other postive male role models in a child's/children life. Next Saturday (May 20, 2017) I'll be going to Detroit. Michigan to see his former band, The Revolution perform at The Majestic. This broadcast is going to be a music review, but I'm also inviting any Prince fans to call in and share any memories they have of the Purple One. I haven't seen them perform in over 20 years, so I'm looking forward to this trip. I'll be going live on Facebook to show concert footage (I'm considering visiting the Motown Museum, but we'll see). 00:29:00AdamsRibnoI've been a Prince fan since the very first I saw him featured in RightOn! magazine in the 6th grade. However, a new term has been coined "deadbeat mom". A "deadbeat mom" is a woman who closes her children's father out of their lives and won't allow him ANY CONTACT WITH THE CHILDREN WHATSOEVER. The problem I have with this term is often it is used by men who don't own take responsbility for their children to cover their own "deadbeatism". I know this sounds like a strange way to honor Mother's Day, but because I normally do annual Facebook posts honoring both mothers and fathers on their respective days and as part of those post admonish absent parents to reconnect with the children the lost with, I thought I'd touch on this very sensitive topic. See ya tonight!! 00:11:00AdamsRibnoFamily,family values,Family preparedness, children, child supportThis broad cast asks the question "Are so-called "deadbeat moms" really a cover for men who don't "man up"?
