I am a cancer survivor and that has determined my recent destiny. I came within a centimeter of losing my voice. I am one grateful guy! Did cancer make me a better person? Not really. I wasn't too bad to begin with. But it did give me a more urgent sense of time. I like punctuality and people who do what they say they're going to do. "I got no time for trivialities." Father, Conqueror, Revolutionary….Poet Born to a teenage mother, Demiko Aiken was adopted by a loving grandmother and grandfather. Despite all their efforts, the lure of the streets soon appealed to Demiko. Living in Washington D.C., Demiko was exposed to the tumultuous turmoil of the street life at an early age. In learning how to survive the streets, Demiko was exposed to and experienced with alcohol and drug use. Sinking into a deep depression, he became overwhelmed with thoughts of suicide. After two failed suicide attempts, Demiko decided to turn his life over to Christ. Gone was the life of the streets but now, Demiko became determined to focus on making a better life for himself and his children, Demiko Jr and Jordan. Demiko chose the name SUN OF MAN because coming out of his darkness, he has seen the light. He offers an inspirational message of hope, compassion, redemption, courage and love.
