Sit down, Shut Up, Let Go, and be Mindful! Yeah that's right, we went there, came back, and now are dragging you along with us into an evening of achieving Mindfulness.
"Mindfulness means maintaining a moment-by-moment awareness of our thoughts, feelings, bodily sensations, and surrounding environment, through a gentle, nurturing lens. Mindfulness also involves acceptance, meaning that we pay attention to our thoughts and feelings without judging them—without believing, for instance, that there’s a “right” or “wrong” way to think or feel in a given moment. When we practice mindfulness, our thoughts tune into what we’re sensing in the present moment rather than rehashing the past or imagining the future."
In the quick and dirty, this means being aware of yourself in the here and now. We can do this with no money down, and no purchase necessary! You don't even need to be a level 37 monk with crazy positive Kharma and an inner peace that makes Gandhi look like raged out driver on the New Jersey Turnpike. It can be obtained though a combination of meditation, rituals, and being observant, among other things.
