On this week’s The Farm radio talk show on the Overthrow Radio Network, host Chris Petherick talks with Laurie Cohen Peters and Liz Reitzig, the founders of Farm Food Freedom Coalition (F3C).

Chris, Laurie and Liz will discuss local food production in the age of industrial farming, including the tragic case of New York farmer Joshua Rockwood, who was recently arrested and hit with a series of absurd charges because, among other things, his livestock’s water was frozen in the middle of winter and he did not heat his barns.

Laurie is a co-founder of the F3C and is a member of the Rawesome Food Club in Venice, Calif., which was raided in 2012 by California officials because it specialized in unprocessed foods, including raw milk. Liz is co-coordinator of Grassfed on the Hill buying club, which serves the greater Washington, D.C. area and is co-founder of F3C. She has spent the past six years representing small farms and consumers at the state legislature and in the halls of Congress lobbying for fewer restrictions on farmers.
