Rebecca Tinsley is the founder of the Network for Africa, a charity helping people in African countries who have endured genocide and conflict. In Rwanda, Network for Africa has built a hospital and dozens of houses for genocide orphans, and it runs training projects for genocide survivors. In Uganda and Sierra Leone, they train lay counselors who have given psychotherapy to 11,000 former child soldiers.

Rebecca has a law degree from the London School of Economics and is a former BBC politics reporter. She writes on genocide, Africa and international development, and her book, When the Stars Fall to Earth, is a novel about Africa. Visit http://network4africa.org.
