Lori La Bey will be talking with Dr. Daniel Gibbs who is one of 5.8 million Americans living with the disease.  The difference here is that Dr Gibbs, a neurologist, had spent twenty-five years caring for patients with Alzheimer’s disease and then realized that he himself might have the disease, even though no official diagnosis or serious signs of cognitive decline have yet occurred? How did he come to that conclusion?  Dr Gibbs will share his story, which is in his  book titled, A TATTOO ON MY BRAIN: A Neurologist’s Personal Battle Against Alzheimer’s Disease.  It’s a touching story that will warm your heart and inspire you as he shares one scientist’s reckoning with a disease he has spent most of his life studying from the “outside” and now he finds himself with a front row seat from “inside” the disease.
