Join me for a special look at one of the best critically acclaim stage plays hailed by Newsweek as a “pivotal play in the history of the American Black theater”, " A Raisin In The Sun" by Lorraine Hansberry. Hansberry’s groundbreaking 1959 classic American drama is an inspiring and fiercely moving portrait of people whose dreams are constantly deferred. This powerful and moving stage play garnered Lorraine Hansberry the New York Critics' Circle Award, being the first black playwright and the youngest to be awarded.
