Learned helplessness theory is the view that clinical depression and related mental illnesses result from a perceived absence of control over the outcome of a situation (Seligman, 1975)
Yes I have to go there my degree says so!! So what the heck is this talking about? You know those people that always run out of money, gas, food, etc.
What about all those harrowing emergencies??? Nothing can wait, everything is life or death in that moment yet an hour later or a moment later nothing is wrong as they have moved onto the next person to lay their sob story on to get what they need. Or are you that person who is constantly in need. This may be a very much needed wake up call.
