Doctor Robert Zubrin earned his Ph.D in Nuclear Engineering in 1992 from the University of Washington.  Having authored over 200 technical and non-technical papers and five books, he has developed several space propulsion systems and many innovations.  In 1996 he wrote The Case for Mars:  The Plan to Settle the Red Planet and Why We Must..

Now he reveals the rationale to explore and colonize the solar system in  On the Way to Star Flight from the anthology, Starship Century.  The article expresses the perils and high-energy demands of interstellar flight.  He argues how they could be overcome in his powerful article.

Join Doctor Zubrin, Melissa and me on Monday, September 16, 2013, 8 to 9 pm. ET for an exciting discussion of a rationale backlight on the necessary baggage of manned space flight.
