Born in Brooklyn, New York in 1990, Denee Nyoka Devenish, commonly known as Nyoka Ny-D, began her musical journey at the tender age of three years old. While living in the native land of her family, Trinidad and Tobago, Nyoka fell in love with the traditional sounds and swift rhythms of the islands.
