Having spent the first month of the new year on webseries, in February F4F returns to where it started – discussing popular femslash fandoms with successful fanfiction authors.  Tonight we will revisit – well, I’ll revisit, it’s usually the first time for Kim – the TNT drama “Rizzoli & Isles”.  When I first did a segment on this series near the end of Season One, it was already a huge hit due to the heavy lesbian subtext between Jane (Angie Harmon) and Maura (Sasha Alexander).  Now that we’re through Season Two, the audience has grown by leaps and bounds.  Neither public statements by the writers denying everything, nor Harmon’s opposition to gay marriage, can dampen fan enthusiasm for a pairing that seems to leap off the screen.  (Maybe it’s all those Dorothy Snarker recaps.)  Tonight we’ll talk with two prolific and talented fan authors. AdmHawthorne has written dozens of stories such as “Not Now”, “Not Yet”, and “New Experiences”, while SnuffNYC is best known for fics like “Heat Wave” and “Come On In My Kitchen”.  We’ll also talk about RizzlesCon, a fan-organized convention which AdmHawthorne helped organize and which is being held this summer in Anaheim, and how something like that could come about after fewer than thirty episodes.
