They died. We miss them. We want them back. The truth is there not coming back. The truth is it feels like a part of who we were died with them. We will never be the same again. The truth is time does not heal you, what with do you do with that time either heals you or holds you back. So these are the truths about death but what about the uncomfortable truth, the words unspoken? The truth about what happens to us when we die is that we don't. 00:12:00Alexrey8nodeath,life,heaven,spirit,truthThe truth is that death is real. They died. We miss them. We want them back. But the loss of a child seems the hardest to bear. In all of my experiences with death, having to assist with a funeral of a two month old baby girl touched my soul in so many ways. It is my sincere hope that her story will provide you the insight that our spirits continue to live. And not only live but enjoy, learn and grow. Is it possible to move on. Not really. But it is possible to move forward. 00:13:00Alexrey8nodeath,children,spirit,heaven,painThere are many kinds of loss. But the loss of a child seems the hardest to bear. But what if you didn't care much for yourself? Is that the message behind choosing work over spending time with your family or over your health?  Like the attorney who's body was brought in wrapped in his little girls Minnie Mouse blanket. I have to warn you, the shocking  truth of what happens to our bodies after we die may not be something you are perpared ot hear. But guess what, it happens...to all of us. And what if we didn't care about ourselves or anybody else, not even our own children. So when it came time for this mother's funeral her son's wanted nothing to do with her. Death awakens us, it sweeps the rug from under our feet, throws us a life changing curve and reminds us of what's truly important. 00:15:00Alexrey8nodeath,life,inspiraton,funeral,spiritualImagine what it would be like if we All cared for each other more than ourselves. In my first post I briefly spoke of the young woman who had lost her battle with breast cancer. But truly she deserves to have her beautiful story told. A love story and wedding like no other. "For it was not into my ear you whispered, but into my heart. It was not my lips you kissed, but my soul." 00:11:00Alexrey8nofuneral,bride,love,cancer,inspirationI’ve received emails from listeners who have asked for me to share about my experience of working in a funeral home. It is the not knowing for certain where we go after we die that makes many of us live in fear of death. For this very purpose, death reminds us to live life joyfully. Death reminds us to live the kind of life that gives you the peace of mind, knowing that showed your appreciation for the gift of life. But that seems like an impossibility when some one close to you dies and you are left with a crushing grief threatening to explode your heart into a million unrecoverable pieces. These are stories about what I learned from the death of loved ones. And what I have yet to comprehend. Stories of loved one’s reaching out with messages for the living, and the story of a mother’s faith acknowledging that God was calling her little boy home and praying for the strength to accept it. 00:30:00Alexrey8nodeath,grieving,life,funeral,faithAlthough we may associate death with the great unknown, it is the one thing in life we can know with certainty, that one day, we will die.
