On a ripsnorting episode of After Hours AM/America’s Most Haunted Radio — with hosts Joel Sturgis and Eric Olsen — we welcome Mike Gaines, co-founder and director of THE SOILED DOVE, Victorian, Steampunk, burlesques extravaganza, who also has a few ghost stories to tell. We talk with Mike at Hour 2; at Hour 1 Joel and Eric review the week’s freakiest paranormal news and whatnot. Vau de Vire Society presents The Soiled Dove, an immersive, circus-infused dinner theater set in the reincarnation of San Francisco’s ribald, spooky Barbary Coast red light district. From Mike and Shannon Gaines, co-creators of the Edwardian, New Bohemia NYE, and Lagunitas Beer Circus comes an event that titillates every sense. Set amidst a thematic backdrop inspired by SF’s notorious gold rush era, guests delight in an engaging evening filled with danger, decadence, world-renowned performance, and an innovative culinary extravaganza worthy of royalty. The Soiled Dove Guests are encouraged to submerge themselves in the revelry by putting a little (or a lot) of effort into their attire—styles that cover Victorian, Edwardian, 49er, Harlots, Crimps, Steampunk, or their most stylish period couture. Circus and theatrics by Vau de Vire Society. Interactive gourmet dinner by Work of Art. Music by Jazz Mafia/Realistic Orchestra. Fridays & Saturdays from June 9th to July 1st. Tickets for 21-and-over show at After the first and second runs of sold out shows in 2014, 2015 & 2016, The Soiled Dove returned June 9th (with shows every Friday and Saturday through July 1st) to the shore on the bay at The Point Alameda…under the Big Top Tent – a massive 12,000 sq. ft. circus tent acquired from the countryside of Tortona, Italy. Set amidst a thematic backdrop inspired by San Francisco’s notorious Barbary Coast era, guests can expect an engaging evening filled with danger, decadence, amazing culinary
