Well, debate season has finally arrived and I can't be any less enthused!  Despite our lack of verve, pull up a seat and check for the latest episode of Afronerd Radio's Mid Week in Review (MWIR) airing this Wednesday at 7:30pm EST.  Join your hosts, Capt. Kirk and Dburt as they unravel the following issues du jour:  we give our impressions of the first of three presidential debates which took place earlier this week; The National Museum of African American History and Culture located at the nation's capital opens to a fair share of enthusiasm (and scrutiny); a recent article, courtesy of The Grio highlights Hollywood's apparent interest in focusing on Black "awkwardness" (a euphemism for blerdism?); legendary R & B soul singer and music industry innovator, Kashif passes at the age of 56; Dburt tries to unpack a delayed discovery of yet another viral twitter rant ("Black straight men are the White People of Black People")....just wow; the Queen of Hip Hop Soul, Mary J. Blige awkwardly serenades presidential hopeful, Sec. Hillary Clinton and "Black Twitter" has a conniption; a recent Blavity piece highlights a discussion betweeb attendees of HBCUs versus PWI (predominantly White Institutions) and lastly, flyers on University of Michigan's campus allegedly are dissuading interracial liasons courtesy of an Alt-Right organization.  Call the hosts live at 646-915-9620.
