In this newest version of If The Devil Wrote A Bible, authors Kent, and his wife Katie, Philpott have updated the contents entirely, nearly tripling the word count and adding two special features; the 'Demonments,' which are the devil's version of the Ten Commandments, and the 'BeBaditudes,' which are the counterpart to Jesus' Beatitudes found in Matthew's Gospel. Throughout the twenty-nine chapters the devil spins his lies, some so very clever people might not even recognize their demonic origin. In chapter 6 the devil writes: "The bible is hopelessly outdated, complicated, and unintelligible to modern readers." In chapter 12 he pontificates, "What counts is the community of Earth. Personal salvation is self-centeredness to the extreme.
