"Steppin Out" is an Energetic music blend of several Genres. One of the most crowd pleasing collections of dance music rolled into one CD. It contains "throwback sounds" such as Cameo, Ohio Players and more current sounds such as Bruno Mars and The Weeknd.

Kimball Hooker grew up in the Bay Area at a very young age listening too and playing at home, but his first passions were dancing and playing the drums. His inspiration came from watching and listening to the musicians at church. He loved the snap of the snare and he began to emulate the sounds that he heard on pots and pans in the kitchen. He would sit and practice for hours on the back porch of his Parents house. At 18, he moved with some high school friends to Minneapolis, to play music. He played the local scene there for two years.

In 2014 his passion then grew into singing, songwriting, and producing original music for other artists, such as Gloria Scott and Black Nate Debiase. He has been blessed to write and produces his first single “Light Em Up”. This single has gained the most attention. “Light Em Up” has been very successful in Europe, especially in France which was played in rotation every hour on Funk France Radio. He also released a remix of “Light Em Up” produced by Freddy Kaza from Brazil. He then released a few more singles, Sexy Senorita, Prescription, Live It Up, and Rumpa.

He also played drums for Cindy Herron of the Multi platinum group "En Vogue" and the Legendary Eddie Gale. Kimball Hooker has also written and produced original music for Gloria Scott, who was originally produced by the Legend himself Barry White.
