Wigley held the top assistant coaching role at both schools, serving as the recruiting coordinator, hitting coach, infield coach (CMU), and outfield coach (CLU). Prior to joining the Regals at CLU, Wigley was a hitting, outfield, and catching coach at Taft Junior College where he coached four student-athletes to First Team All-Conference honors, and another who was named All-American. In 2010, he also coached his Player's Edge 18-U Elite team to a California state gold medal as a head coach, a position he held from 2008-10. In past summers Wigley managed Players Edge, an 18-U travel team from the Granada Hills California area that won 2 of 5 tournaments they competed in. Wigley was a member of the California Baptist University baseball team for three seasons after transferring after one season at College of the Sequoias where he played baseball for one season. At Cal Baptist, Wigley's name can be found on multiple occasions in the program's record book as he holds the top spot in career games played, walks, stolen bases, assists, on-base percentage, and sacrifice hits.
