The Bible tells us not to be anxious about your life. This is why we get stressed in the first place; we worry about providing for ourselves and our loved ones. We stress over money because we never seem to feel that we have enough. We worry about making ends meet, often living paycheck to paycheck. Or we become consumed by materialism and in turn, stressed out about maintaining our lifestyle. Materialism inevitably leads to stress because when we seek the world’s goods, we have fallen for the deceitfulness of Satan.  The starting point for dealing with stress is Jesus Christ. We desperately need Him in our lives. We need Him because He is the only one who can give us the strength to cope with the troubles in our lives. Believing in Him does not mean that we will have a trouble-free life or that we will not succumb to stress in our lives. It simply means that a life without Jesus Christ makes coping with stress an impossible and often debilitating task. 00:16:0021st Century Man of ValornoRelegion,God,Faith,Stress,ValorMany people become stressed because they don’t trust God to provide the basic necessities of life. Discipleship is not just aimed at pastors and ministers; it is the charge of Jesus to believers - to every believer. If you have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, you are eminently qualified to become a disciple. It is a high calling; in fact it is often referred to as the Great Commission. It is a commission of love given to us by God. To be a disciple of Christ means that you must study His Word, and live the Word. As a disciple of the Lord, you will be asked to spread His Word regardless of the sacrifices and the personal difficulties you will have to endure. Jesus wants us to help as many people as possible to find salvation in Him. He wants us to be His disciples, and then make others into disciples as well. He is simply, through neglect, allowing himself to drift in that direction. He does not plan to go that way. He gets distracted by things in his life—by hobbies, work, rearing children, and a great many other things. No matter what it is, he allows himself to neglect what has been given to him. It is necessary for us to seek recurrent nourishment from the Word of God, and it is available only through an enduring relationship with the Creator. This spiritual relationship, like any human relationship, is multifaceted. Yet, quite simply, we as individuals and as a body neglect our relationship with God, and the result is division and scattering. The world's spiritual junk food gradually becomes the source of our spiritual nourishment. It invades our attitudes and behaviors, systematically weakening us as it produces a spiritual disease. It deceives us because we outwardly appear to be in good health. We judge that we are spiritually rich and increased with goods and have need of nothing. Making choices represent the fundamental toll we use in facing the opportunities, challenges, and uncertainties of life. It is therefore important that we make the right choices because we do not always choose the consequence of our choice. Our choices will either move us toward God and all the pleasure, blessings and promises that are in place for us or they will steer us away from Him to a life of shame, defeat, and eternal damnation. In order to make the right choice we need a firm and solid foundation that we can rely on. For the Follower of Jesus Christ that foundation is the Word of God. God is our Creator and that means He knows what is best for our lives. His Word is intended to help us navigate life so we can experience the best He has to offer to us. We are in this world but we are not of this world. The world lies under the control of the evil one, which is why we as Christians should desire to have no part of the world. Which is why we do not see things as the world does. We are of God’s kingdom, a totally separated kingdom, a holy nation planted in the world, but not of it. Even though we live in the world we operate and live by the principles of God’s kingdom rather than those of the world, therefore we are in the world, but not of it. There is a tendency to get distracted by the world when things are not going well in our lives. When pressures and difficulties come it is often easy to be enticed by the world and the pressure to be conformed to the world will become stronger and stronger. We must resist the squeeze of the world, which we can do by becoming less attached to the world and by denying ourselves and presenting our bodies as a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God. We gravitate toward the one, and think these pursuits are worthy of our utmost attention as if lives depended on it and run from the other with unholy fear. How many politicians have you seen in the news who have built great followings with soaring speeches and pleasant words, but who set low bars for moral and spiritual leadership at home, in the church, in the neighborhood, and schools etc.? Broken marriages and ruined family relationships are the result, because there is no one who can see the disconnection.  It invariably affects the worldly empire we have built, and like a wrecking ball, destroys the tower of good will that was once enjoyed. Men of valor we are called to set things back in order as God has prescribed for it to be. We are to guide, lead, and protect in the home. Give your concerns to God and don't snatch them back. Trust Him in spite of what it looks like to handle every situation in your life. Most importantly, learn who He is so that trust comes easily. One way you can express your love for God is by being committed to Him. This is what love is really all about: commitment. You don’t really love somebody unless you’re committed to their best. God is committed to our best. Nothing significant ever happens in life without commitment. Your commitments determine your future. You are becoming whatever you are committed to, so choose your commitments carefully. If you’re committed to the wrong thing, you’re going to become the wrong thing and vice versa. You can’t lose by being committed to God. The Bible tells us in 2 Chronicles 16:9 that God is looking for people whose hearts are fully committed to Him so that He can bless and use them. What does it mean to be fully committed to God? • Giving my life to Jesus Christ. • Committing my life to His family—the body of Christ, which is the church—and joining a church family. • Choosing to grow spiritually and become more and more like Jesus Christ everyday in my character. • Using my talents and gifts to help others. • Sharing the good news with other people and fulfilling the mission and purpose God put me on this earth to do. Don’t let your commitment to God become a religious act, stay committed to Him and not the act. 00:16:0021st Century Man of ValornoReligion,God,Faith,Man,ValorCommit to God Not Religious Practice Committing yourself to know God more fully means you can trust Him more fully, too. We exhibit our witness through all manner of conversation; what we do and don’t do, what we say and don’t say, how we act and react. There were specific things Israel did and did not do which affected their testimony as witnesses. Being a witness for Christ is first "so that" we may know God and then "so that" others may know God. Being a witness is about knowing God, seeing his steadfast love, experiencing his work in creation, hearing his voice. Being a witness also is something directed toward others, you never know who is watching or listening. The Bible declares that we are saved to save others. There may come a time in a person’s life that one might lose the ability to read for themselves or even be able to hear the word of God; but being a witness for Christ that individual still has the opportunity to see Christ and His glory manifesting through your lifestyle. Those things and situations that you thought were just so devastating that there just seem to be no way out i.e. lost your job, losing a house, how am I going to pay my bills, and the Dr. said I have an incurable disease. Believers don’t experience those no way out situations, we experience God showing up and delivering us. There are some prerequisites that have to be met in order to have God working on your behalf. We can’t do what we want then when things go wrong we want to call on God to get us out. As believers we glorify God through our life style, and by faith He shows up in our life. 00:16:0021st Century Man of ValornoGod,Religion,Faith,Men,ValorI want to talk about some of those tight spots that you have encountered in your Christian walk. God will get to you what you need as quick as you can believe Him, trust in God to come and make your life new. It’s very exciting. Do you want to see God move in your life?
