On tonight's episode I'm pleased to welcome Melissa Chappell to the program...

Melissa Chappell is a native South Carolinian where she lives on land that has been handed down through her family for over a hundred and twenty years .Although she has a strong sense of place, it has not kept her from exploring and wandering. She has been to France, Germany, and the Cascades, as well as many other parts of the country, but the most spiritually memorable were the Cascades. She has lived in Milwaukee, southwest Virginia, the Shenandoah Valley, Wilmington, NC and Columbia, SC. She feels that all of these experiences, on some level, inform her writing. She has a BA in Music Theory which was awarded her by Newberry College and a Master of Divinity from Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary. She is a pastor in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. Besides writing, she plays the piano, the guitar, the Renaissance lute, and is a vocalist. Above all she considers herself a writer.
