Claudine Matthews is an innovative, forward thinking, courageous leader who is passionate about personal leadership behaviour empowerment. Her vision and mission is to inspire others, especially women, to embrace the leader within and to empower the disempowered to step up and out to fulfill their full potential. Her passion is to make leadership available to all people at all levels of society by helping them to overcome the obstacles of their past and turn them into opportunities for achievement!
Claudine qualified as a Dietitian in 1992 from the University of the Western Cape. She became a UK registered Dietitian in 2002 after moving to London in 2000. She has worked in the National Health Service for over 10 years as a clinical Dietitian.
In 2012 she accepted a new role as Social Liaison officer in a Sickle Cell Service in Hackney, which has been instrumental in her academic and research interest and development.
In 2014 she was awarded a Master’s degree in Healthcare Education and Clinical Leadership from Kingston University and it is here that she developed her passion for personal leadership empowerment.
In 2016 she enrolled onto a Professional Doctorate degree from Anglia Ruskin University- focussed on developing nutrition service provision in Sickle Cell Disease.
She is co-director of Newtri-fis WELLNESS.
