On tonight's episode I'm pleased to welcome Cristina Deptula to the program...

Cristina Deptula serves as executive director emerita of the green social enterprise Authors, Large and Small, which specializes in identifying the distinct audience for books and developing creative ways to reach those readers. They harness the talents of people who face barriers to employment to spread the word about books that benefit from grassroots publicity.

She is a former science and technology writer and aspiring journalist who also publishes the nonprofit literary and cultural magazine Synchronized Chaos. She has an almost insatiable curiosity about how people think and how the world works, and her publicity work grows out of that.

She enjoys a wide variety of fiction and nonfiction, from Bill Bryson to Toni Morrison to Abraham Verghese, and believes there is a place in the world for most every book. She can be reached at
