Caroline Dowd-Higgins authored the book and maintains the blog: "This Is Not the Career I Ordered" which showcases her savvy professional development advice and women who are thriving after a career transition. In her capacity as Director of Career & Professional Development at Indiana University Maurer School of Law, she coaches law students on how to prepare for the realities of the world-of-work in the legal arena and beyond. Dowd-Higgins also maintains an active private practice coaching individuals and corporate clients. She speaks nationally on professional development topics specializing in the empowerment of women in the workforce. She pens a career blog for the Huffington Post online and a column for The Chronicle newspaper in Northern Indiana.

 

As a testimony to the power of transferable skills, prior to establishing her consulting practice, Caroline worked as a professional opera singer in Europe and the United States. She has also appeared in a myriad of commercials, voice-over spots, industrial films and live theatrical productions as a featured actress. With over a decade of career and professional development coaching experience, Caroline Dowd-Higgins has a desire to empower and energize people to achieve their personal goals. Her training style is engaging, high energy, and positive with a focus on unlocking the self-advocate within each of us.
