Do you have a difficult time telling your boss, your wife, your kids, and even your friends “no”? Do you find yourself over booked and feeling resentful that other’s constantly want a piece of you, your time, your advice, your effort – you? Then this 30 minute talk will be perfect to help you find a new, beautiful, honest, and kind word for your vocabulary: “No”.
There are four ways that people say “no”. The first one is when you say “yes” when you really mean “no”. The second is the “whiney no”. The third is the “screw you no”. And the fourth – finally – is the healthy “no”. You will learn the components to each way and we will focus on the attributes of the healthy “no” so that you can set healthy boundaries for yourself and others. Making your “yes” a clean, honest, gift. We will role play each “no” so that you can see the faults of the first three – and understand your beliefs around why you use the “no” you do. Finally, we will talk about how using the healthy “no” can bring more intimacy, gratitude, and love to all of your relationships.
No is a good word – it can also be a complete sentence. Learn how to free yourself from resentment, anger, and bitterness by learning how to use your healthy “no”.
