The great day in the world is Today.
Today I attended a networking event that was very interesting. The things that made the event interesting is that there was very little networking being done before, during and after the event. Please do not get me wroung I am not saying that the eventy was a waste of my time it was a nice event. The problem was everyone that attended was there to sell. Very few people where there looking to network and or buy. This is a very interesting thing and it is a thing that I am seeing more and more as I attend events. It is also pretty much the thing that I am also hearing from others who are also telling me about events that they are attending. To all of you that are looking to organize these events. If everyone attending your events are all as in 89% looking to sell you are going to start losing people. Networking events that feed you snacks and drinks are just that events that feed you food and drinks. People here is the question why are you driving to these events? To network and to do business right well let's look at it if the event does not meet the needs as in the reason that you attended that event is not going to work. The speaker at this meeting did make some good points. One of the points is that very few people really know what to do or how to do it. The presentation was about sales yet the message was very clear.
At every event you should get more then a hand full of business cards.
