Call in to speak with the host
Several months ago I spoke with a young lady that had one arm. She had lost both of her legs and one of her arms up to just about her elbow. The happened is an accident. She was one of the most fascinating people that I have spoken to in a long time. She was also one of the most positive and inspiring people that I have ever had the pleasure to meet in my life. This was a person that has gone through a lot yet she had an up-beat mind set. Her handicap was a matter of option and not a matter of fact. For many years I have spoken with people who tell me that they can not do something and they have both legs and arms.
So my question to you all is why are you here on earth? Why are you living at this time in this place? Well I think that I have a clue. The reason that you and I are here is to help others. No I am not talking about you helping yourself. Look around you what you are doing is not working for you. It is not working if it was we would not have to work so very hard at it. We again are here to help other people. It all starts with you.
Is a $6.00 fast food meal really going to break you? Many of you can build a multi-million dollar mega church or temple yet you can not help your neighbor a few miles down the street. They are a lot of good people that could use just a little help. Yes, there are some lost causes out in the world and that is the truth. My question again is why are you here? The next question is will you help the many who are not lost causes they are just off track right now. I have a couple of young people at my school who were lost and they are now doing great. That shows me that there are good people out there in the world. They just need a hand sometimes. Like I said I do not have a lot but I do what I can when I can. Talking to that young lady and experiencing her strength and spirit just really moved me.
So lets start making each day a vacation today.
