Now is the day of salvation. Now is the time of healing. Now faith must work.
James said that faith without works is dead. When the disciples asked Jesus to increase their faith he told them a parable.
A parable of a servant to worked in the fields all day and then served the master of the house first before serving himself the evening meal.
Jesus then said: "so likewise you, when you have done what is expected of you, remember that you are still a servant".
A lot of emphasis is put on our being a servant, but let's not forget the subject of the encounter was the disciples question: "Lord, increase our faith!"
If faith works, as James says, could it be our servant, just as we are God's servant? Does faith 'work' for us in receiving healing and wellness?
