I have seen that when encouraging people regarding the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, they are under the impression that not everyone will or can speak in tongues.  Usually this comes from their having heard a teaching on the "Gift of tongues", and the verse where Paul is saying:  "do all speak with tongues".  An explanation needs to be given about this making it clear that even though the answer to Paul's question is 'no', this is referring to the Gift of Tongues operating in the church assembly.  We see from the scriptures that speaking with tongues was given to 'all' in the Upper Room on the Day of Pentecost, at Cornelius' house, and at Ephesus.  This operation of speaking with tongues is given to the believer for personal edification according to Jude 20 and I Corinthians 14.  This week, we will take a look at this subject and clear up some of the confusion surrounding it.
