"God....and His Supernatural Defence of Abraham"

Genesis 20....after 25 years, Abraham falls to the same weakness:  fearing for his life.  Even though he had seen God bring him through the similar trial in Egypt, give him victory over the five kings, move supernaturally in the naming of Ishmael, appeared to him in visions, etc., he still secumbed to the overwhelming human need for self-preservation, rather than leaning on God to preserve him.  There are many lessons for us in this chapter, and wonderful insights into the faithfulness of God, even if we aren't faithful.  You will find encouragement in this account today of Abraham and Abimelech.  We all still have our times of facing 'Abimelech' in our lives.
