Bridging the Gap between Diaspora and Home

This week on Spotlight we will have a roundtable discussion on “Bridging the Gap between Diaspora and Home.” The focus of the discussion will be on what makes for successful life abroad while still maintaining strong ties to home, if that’s the route you choose. Some of the points we will touch on are as follows:

• Maintaining strong familial and friendship ties
• Being an ambassador
• Raising children who may have no connection to your home country
• Having a partner with no desire to relocate
• Dealing with the guilt of feeling at home in our adopted countries or about leaving behind family members.

Leading the discussion will be Miss Bwalya and Jonah Banda.
