Tranter Exploration Zambia is the first indigenous company which has gone into large scale mineral exploration and mining in Luapula Province’s Mansa and Mwense districts. Tranter Zambia partnered with Tranter Holdings(Pty) Limited, a  South African registered company, with a focus in resources as well as in engineering manufacturing and supplying of mining and energy equipment, spares and accessories and providing engineering  services.  It was formed with the overriding goal of facilitating the creation of  sustainable economic empowerment in the SADC region.This joint venture has spent more than USD 2 million exploring manganese, copper and other minerals in Luapula in north eastern Zambia, near the border with Democratic Republic of Congo since the formation of the alliance recently.

Dr Sixtus Mulenga & Mr Joshua Ngoma join us on Perspectives to discuss the future outlook of Tranter’s exploration and mining investment in North-eastern of the country. Tranter executives believe that Zambia has favorable investment policies which encourage local investors to work side by side with foreign investors as a way of empowering local businesses.
