Mr Felix Chaila is the Managing Director of the re-branded Zambia Tourism Board (ZTB), which was established through an Act of Parliament of 2007 with a mandate to promote and market Zambia as a tourist destination within and outside the country. During the branding ceremony, it was stated that branding was the first point to operating a profile that would get tourists to the country which would eventually lead to more job creation. Mr Chaila will join us to discuss the strides the ZTB has made.

Zambia is believed to have some of the best tourism products in the world and all that is needed is to create awareness of what was on offer. With a marketing budget of K9.8 billion for the year 2012 and joint hosts of the 2013 UN World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) General Assembly with neighboring Zimbabwe, the industry still struggles to attract visitors to its legendary African walking safari, the Mosi-o-Tunya Falls, the wild Zambezi River, breath-taking lakes, abundant wildlife, and raw pulsating wilderness, all in one friendly country. Mr Chaila will also share the vast investment opportunities the tourism industry offers.
