Maureen Nkandu was one of the renown television personalities in Zambia and eventually became a BBC correspondent. Maureen recalls in reference to her career, 'I think I began my career at about the age of six, in front of the mirror, all dressed up and reading the television news.'Ten years later I walked into the TV station and convinced them to put me on air because I was good. They did! That's how I began my broadcasting career aged 18 at ZNBC. Following Maureen's discussion will be the Mayor's Forum, which will comprise mayors from Lusaka, Kitwe, Solwezi and Mayor Bill McAlpine of Akotoks, Canada.
