Susan Sophie Bierker, MSW, is dedicated to being a Sexual Abuse Prevention Advocate! She has arrived at embracing the mission to educate others as she can about sexual abuse. She has had an extensive background as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Pennsylvania where she was in private practice for over 20 years. She is also a survivor of childhood sexual abuse and, through individual and group therapy, is now leading a happier and more fulfilling life.  She knows that healing for victims/survivors of sexual abuse is possible.

Many years and experiences have made her an expert in the field of sexual abuse. Prior to her counseling practice, she was a social worker for Children and Youth Services in Media, Pennsylvania, where she counseled youth and their families, including children and teenagers who had been emotionally, physically and/or sexually abused. Her private practice provided individual, couple, and group therapy. In addition to extensive training and experience in the treatment of child victims and adult survivors of sexual abuse her expertise includes counseling men and women who are experiencing any traumatic life events.

In practice as a Life Coach since moving to Sarasota, Florida, she has helped sexual abuse victims and those experiencing trauma become not only survivors but also thrivers who go on to live fuller, happier lives. One of the missions in her life is to help those who are hurting and confused to heal and move on with their lives, and she does it joyfully. Her other mission and life’s purpose is to provide education about sexual abuse to as many people as she can, because education is the most important step on the journey toward prevention. She encourages everyone to get educated and help others, so they, too,can be a a Sexual Abuse Prevention Advocate.
