We will be joined by Blake Powers, Rose Phillips, and Doug TenNapel tonight.

Blake is the author of A Different View: Travels with Team Easy, Iraq 2007. Rather than combat, this book is about the day-to-day life with troops in Iraq. The focus is on the 90-99 percent of the time that is tedium or boredom, rather than the one percent that is the focus of most photographs seen on the news.

Dave will join us on behalf of Liberty Run Marines Group. On April 16-21, 2012 a group of runners representing combat veterans and wounded warriors from Beirut, Lebanon to the current campaigns in Iraqi and Afghanistan, will run from Jersey City, NJ to Jacksonville, NC to honor the 29 year anniversary of the Beirut Embassy bombing on April 18, 1983. The 600+ mile run will pause 63 minutes, one minute for every victim of the deadly attack, beginning at the time of the attack. At the completion of the run on the morning of Saturday, April 21, a commemoration ceremony will take place at the Beirut Memorial with a Wreath Presentation. The runners will be be welcomed at the completion of their run by a Chrome and Fire Salute with a bike and car show following the ceremony.

Doug is the creator of the popular character Earthworm Jim, children's book author, and very accomplished artist. Doug will auction an Earthworm Jim piece at Dallas Comicon in May 2012 to benefit Wounded Warrior Project.
