Actor Paolo Seganti: Damien Grimaldi As The World Turns

Join me at midnight on the East Coast, 9 PM on the left (west) coast when I speak with actor and author Paolo Seganti who currently portrays Damien Grimaldi on the CBS daytime drama As The World Turns. This multi-talented leading man is also an author. He lost his younger brother to suicide and knows that pain all to well. Born in Milan, Italy, Paolo Seganti used the boxing ring as a surrogate stage, winning the Italian Amateur Championship within six months and continuing fighting and acting (theatre) on and off for 5 years. He fronted worldwide campaigns for Chanel, YSL, Lanvin and Calvin Klein after a successful career as the Italian Amateur Boxing Champion brought him to the attention of world renowned photographers such as Bruce Weber, Jean-Paul Goude, Peter Lindberg and Jean-Baptiste Mondino. Paolo began working extensively on the New York stage receiving critical acclaim and sell-out audiences for his lead roles in EQUUS and the self-directed WHOSE LIFE IS IT ANYWAY which immediately alerted Hollywood to his potential. Paolo heralded his film debut with Woody Allen's EVERYONE SAYS I LOVE YOU, quickly followed by Johnny Stompanato in Curtis Hanson's multi-award winner LA CONFIDENTIAL, the independent feature STILL BREATHING co-starring opposite Brendan Fraser, and Franco Zefferelli's TEA WITH MUSSOLINI alongside Cher, Judi Dench and Joan Plowright. Guest appearances on Television included Fran Drescher's THE NANNY and Don Johnson's NASH BRIDGES, culminating with the lead role opposite Linda Hamilton in the HBO Movie of the Week SEX & MRS X. Paolo was the lead actor of Paramount's sensational action series LARGO WINCH based on the international comic strip, and which in its first two seasons smashed all viewing records across Canada and Europe. Paolo's also released his first British film as the lead in Noli's MARRIED/UNMARRIED, plus the French dark comedy by Parisian Star-actor/director Patric Timsit L’AMERICAN.
