Hi,Jackie.I've just finished listening to "No More Secrets -...)and it really made me think about how easy it is to feel like you're the only one suffering-be it from depression,anxiety,etc.,etc.-ESPECIALLY when in the throes of these mind states. It's so good to be reminded that everyone suffers;it's so human to suffer. Also, hearing everyone's histories, and the devastating events that have happened to all of you:devastating enough to,pretty understandably, feel at times that the only way out of what must have been sheer hell, was to end your lives, but there you all were:talking, even laughing. What a lesson for anyone depressed, because it can be nearly impossible to imagine one can ever laugh again. That there really can be light at the end of the tunnel and you truly never know what's right around the corner.I love that John & Patricia are now so passionate about spreading the word to others,I think that's wonderful.I love the "tip" idea, too.Juat a list of small things people can do to lift their moods, even if it's just temporarily. That's a book in and of itself,if you ask me.Great interview.P.S.I hope this doesn't sound callous or anything, but I dyin' to know which Prince it was you were listening to ,Jackie!I as this as not only a Prince lover, but as a music lover myself:it's given me pleasure when nothing else was able to! Have a great day-Dess

Wanted to share an email I got today from Germany: Fantastic!!!! My name ist Mimi and I live in Germany. I just listened to your show with Dr. Gordon and it was absolutely FABOLOUS!!! I am 28 years old and I suffered from depression for more than 8 years, also taking all this medication, doing theray, you name it, I did it! 6 month ago I was on 3 different kinds of medication when I couldn´t get out of bed for a week, feeling so sick and depressed. I decided I will never swallow this pills again and just stopped taking them! Long story short. I finally discoverd a doctor who exactly told me the same things to do which you and Dr. Gordon were talking about. I started eating a vegan diet, exercising, etc... But also my new and fantastic psychiatrist studied acupuncture in China and has a method espcially for healing depression and negative thinking! After two appointments of acupuncture and 4 weeks of eating an vegan diet I started feeling true happyness again after 8 years and I have been fine since! I can´t believe that our Healthsystem not only in America, also here in Germany and prob. also in the rest of the world tells us that we NEED medication, when people have th epossibilities to try other things first! Doctors are not listening, they just prescribe. I can´t even tell how many times I was thining that nothing and nobody can help and I would just have to live the depression. More people need to know that they can make a decission to try other natural ways to heal. Every human being is different and so everybody needs to find their own individual way. Thanks for this wonderful show, which showed me again that I am on the right track with my new lifestyle and also sharing this with other people. A couple weeks ago I made a youtube video exactly about this topic. Maybe you want to check it out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LgcylpUNnFQ All my best wishes Mimi

I am who I am. Many people make excuses for being who they are. You may be like me and talk too much, or you do something else that you feel makes you unloveable. My advice...be who you are always. I am a talk show host BECAUSE I LIKE TO TALK! Makes sense right. So I make no excuses for myself. I love me just the way I am.

Received a negative comment and yes i did delete it...not because i can't take criticism but because i dislike mean spirited, vicious, nasty people. If u dislike my show, there r about 25,000 others here on blogtalk...it's all about choice so negative nasty comment person...tune out and maybe u should run ur own show and book your own guests?? Good luck with that by the way

MizDean

MizDean

I am crying as I listen to this show. I lost my mother to a neglectful hospital atmosphere. As a single, only child, I had no back up or relief. My surviving family members were all her older siblings and in bad shape themselves. I used to sit with her for up to 12 hours a day. Their was no hospital support. My heart sank when I had to leave, because I never knew if I'd see her alive again. Finally, she took ill in the night and I came running. She died the next day due to an heparin overdose. Sometimes, I blame myself

jsforeman

jsforeman

I disagree completely. 10-10-10 is about making decisions no matter how much money you make. Mymother-in-law is in her 70's and cleans hotel rooms and she uses 10-10-10. I also make no $ now and still use 10-10-10

Very informative and enlightening show except I do not think that Ms. Welch's theory would work if you are making minimum wage and living on the edge. That worker is at the mercy of too many forces not in their control. I know because I come from a long line of folks who worked hard for little money and just could not pick up and leave a job, no matter how draining it was.

Keep shining your light, you are drawing to you those that seek out a warm and inviting ear to hear them and welcome with without judgement. You are living your life's purpose and doing so quite beautifully! Thank you from all those who are afraid to speak out, thank you from those that cant speak out, and thank you of course from me! Join Jacqueline Foreman as she welsomes psychic medium Wayne Issacs to the show from the UK! Even as a child Wayne knew he was different from other children. From an early age he was aware of seeing people before him that others could not see. It was common for him to hear his name being called by someone unseen, and also common for him to be aware of events before they actually happened. To him, all this was perfectly normal. Born in Harrow, Middlesex, London, much of Wayne’s early childhood was the same as any other. All through his early school years and into teenage hood the most amazing paranormal events happened to, and around, Wayne. When he was 23 years old he was invited by a friend to attend a local Spiritualist church to observe a Medium work, and from the minute he set foot inside the door he knew this was what he wanted to do with his life, and what was expected of him. This is now the dream he wants to happen to be one of the country’s most well-known and respected Psychic Mediums. Over the years that followed, Wayne took every opportunity to develop and demonstrate his mediumistic ability by joining a psychic circle and local church endeavouring to reunite relatives with their departed loved ones. He is always striving to push the boundaries of his work, wanting each message from the other side to be as perfect as possible to prove, beyond doubt that our spirits are eternal and are able to communicate with us.

    The Affordability Factor

Join Jacqueline Foreman and Dr. Nathaniel J. Williams as they discuss his book The Affordability Factor. The Affordability Factor: The 4Cs of Change a self-help tool developed by Dr. Nathaniel J. Williams describes the importance of releasing oneself from the impactful challenging moment in life that all people experience and living in the fullness of faith and fortitude by transforming ones concepts, communications, collaborations, and consequences (4Cs). Additionally, The Affordability Factor highlights the need to differentiate between the roles of faith and fortitude while understanding the importance of both to be omnipresent in our lives. Harriet Tubman once said I freed a thousand slaves. I could have freed a thousand more if only they knew they were slaves. The Affordability Factor: The 4Cs of Change is built on the premise that we could afford so much more if we only realized the concepts, communication, collaborations and consequences which enslave us to a less than desirable existence and outcomes. Most individuals do not realize the significance of challenging (and generally negative) events that occur in their lives. Such events cause individuals to fixate on certain themes, exerting a lasting impact on their concepts, communications, and collaborations. Examples of challenging life events death of parent, sibling, friend, or pet (loss), ridicule/embarrassment, belonging/attachment events, lessening of ability, victimization, poverty, disease, divorce, or a challenge that affected your faith education. An effort to understand the Personal Philosophy that the challenging event has left the individual with is pivotal to increasing The Affordability Factor of everything the individual desires in life. The Personal Philosophy and Working Concepts either block or launch an individual.

Close to the Bone: Life-Threatening Illness As a Soul Journey

Join Jacqueline Foreman as she welcome author Jean Shinoda Bolen to the show to discuss her memoir Close to the Bone: Life-Threatening Illness As a Soul Journey. This is a book for any person who is living with a life-threatening illness and for anyone who is caring for and/or loves a person who is ill. Bolen affirms that the price of going into the scary places, of feeling like a piece of green meat on a hook, is high, but worth it. We have no choice. We will all face health crises--our own and others. We can try to bury our heads in the sand. Or we can travel to the underworld. We can probe. We can listen. We can connect to what we know in our bones. In the ten years since the original publication of Close to the Bone, Jean Bolen has continued to explore the impact and the possibilities for finding purpose that confronting a serious illness and possible death present us. This expanded edition includes a new section about forming circles in the time of crises, plus more stories that support the process of hope and the desire to live and change as well as a very personal passage in which Dr. Bolen tells the story of the death of her son. This book is meant to help and heal, to make people less afraid, and to encourage them to trust the wisdom they have inside--what they know in their bones.

The 48 Laws of Power: Part 4

Listen to the entire series live 11/27/09 thru 12/8/09 or listen archived. Amoral, cunning, ruthless, and instructive, this piercing work distills three thousand years of the history of power in to forty-eight well explicated laws. As attention--grabbing in its design as it is in its content, this bold volume outlines the laws of power in their unvarnished essence, synthesizing the philosophies of Machiavelli, Sun-tzu, Carl von Clausewitz, and other great thinkers. Some laws teach the need for prudence ("Law 1: Never Outshine the Master"), the virtue of stealth ("Law 3: Conceal Your Intentions"), and many demand the total absence of mercy ("Law 15: Crush Your Enemy Totally"), but like it or not, all have applications in real life. Illustrated through the tactics of Queen Elizabeth I, Henry Kissinger, P. T. Barnum, and other famous figures who have wielded--or been victimized by--power, these laws will fascinate any reader interested in gaining, observing, or defending against ultimate control.
