Your Place

Our show is for everybody to have a place that they can call their own to discuss real life issues. The concept is not to brain wash people but to allow people to hear other opinions on issues and make up their own mind. In other words...get people to think! We will step into issues like politics and religion, student athletes, lost loved ones, supplements, and multi-level marketing to name a few. We are open to expand topics requested for future shows because this is your place where your voice is important.

Show Notes

Your host is a man of faith but looks at a lot of issues from a perspective that makes this show not just another talk show.

    Date / Time:

What has happened that people do not think they have to claim responsibility for actions?

Our next show is one that sort of came up in the chat room during our last show. We have talked about evolution a couple of times. Last week was on the Bible. Is it just a book of faith or is it a book of fact.  There was several interesting things that came from that discussion. One that shocked me was how people do not realize that the bible has several scientific facts noted in it that it was years later before science actually caught up to those facts.  These covered medical information, the fact the world is round, the fact that we can have daytime and night time on this world at the same time, issues of spreading disease by not washing properly, facts of prediction regarding creation that all species were made after their own kind, and the other interesting points of interest.

The chat room conversation was very lively and as it progressed off of point I noticed that everybody had opinions on lots of issues. But there was a lot of broadcasting of information without really listening to the other side of the discussion.  That does not expand our thought process but is more like a ping pong game of opinions being tossed back in forth without really trying to fact find on what the other person is saying.

Personal responsibility is one of those issues.  It is clear that we all have an opinion on just about every subject that can be brought to the table for discussion.  But there has to be some accountability in that process.

In this day and time we feel that we need to know everything about everybody.  The press does a pretty good job of putting this information out even if they have to put more supposition then fact into the story. We want the press to pursue people to get these stories but when an accident happens with Princess Diana we all rush into the crowd and want to nail them to a cross.  We all want to blame corporate greed and CEO's for problems in America but when one of the biggest companies in the US tries to point blame at labor we all jump ship all of the sudden and blame the labor unions for our woes.  The current President spends billions of dollars of bailout money for infrastructure to try to put more jobs into the economy and the republicans all point and blame him for how far in debt the country is and blame him for the economy.  Yet, less then a year ago it was Bush who told us we were in crisis and that we had to come up with a bailout plan to keep our financial infrastructure alive.  Not to mention that during his time in office we went from a surplus to having the highest debt in recorded history.  We even do the same things with GOD.  People who do not believe in GOD say that if there is one I would not want to serve him because he has allowed so much evil in this world.  The people of faith try to explain God as a Prayer ATM machine.  You install a little prayer and get what you want in return.  Or others act like their relationship with God is like a HE-MAN Cartoon.  He lifted his sword and said by the power of grayskull and the next thing you know he had super power. I see people that live like the devil all week long and all of the sudden on Sundays try to evoke the power of God into a situation like HE-MAN.

The bottom line to all of this is what are you and I doing to change things. Words are cheap! Actions with words can get things done. Even with people of faith.  I have watched  over the last few years where they have put more effort into becoming a political lobby then in praying for our leaders as the bible tells us to do.  I have watched people that claim to have a personal relationship with God spreading the same message of fear to things in this world as everybody else.  We have broached this topic a couple of times in the past on this program.  I ask all of you why is this happening?  I think the answer lies in people not willing to take personal responsibility for their actions.  But that is just me. Share your thoughts on this during our next show.
