It was great to have an extra day off  work to unwind from the cares of life, but we want to take a moment to remind ourselves what this day was established to honor and remember.  This holiday goes beyond politics, religion, and race.  Remember that as we bring you some clips to put this memorial day in perspective. For those  who are currently serving, or have served in any branch of military, we say thank you for your service.  For the family of those that have served, our prayers and thanks go out to you also.  Through many wars we have seen the effects on our brave men and women who came home changed after serving in combat zones.  We are now aware of PTSD and think we understand what this is.  From having a family memeber who served and came back changed with PTSD, we can say that we really still don't understand the life altering effects this has on the soldiers and their families.  For those that war has taken the life's blood from your family, we don't have the words to say.  We know that no one goes to war to give their life.  On the other hand, all are aware that  this is a possiblity, and they do not flinch when it comes to performing their job.  Please take a moment to pray for our service families.     The same goes for our police and firefighters who are prepared to give all for others.
