NY Football Giants opinions and analysis.

In this episode, Giants back-up quarterback David Carr gets his money’s worth, running back Ahmad Bradshaw is running wild, and since being shipped out of New York, Saints tight end Jeremy Shockey admits to still having a bitter taste in his mouth.
There are two certainties in life, death and taxes. Now you can add a third, the Oakland Raiders (1-4) stink. The undefeated New York Giants (5-0) took care of business this past Sunday at home with a 44-7 victory over those very same Raiders. In this installment, Talking Giants Football’s Tommy L. Biggs tries awfully hard to contain himself as both he and host Anthony C. Wayne reel off one dominating Giants stat after another. Wayne mentions that even though their last three opponents have been less-than-zero, the G-men can still utilize these previous contests as a way to develop chemistry, trust, and rapport on the field.
Up by 31-7 at the half, Head Coach Tom Coughlin opts to pull his starting quarterback in Eli Manning (plantar fasciitis) and replace him with back-up QB David Carr. The decision proves successful as Carr’s mobility allows him to rumble for a 12-yard touchdown run that all but puts the final nail in the Raiders’ coffin. However, the day belonged to New York’s running back, Ahmad Bradshaw, who averaged ten yards a carry netting 165 total yards that included a 55-yard reception and two touchdowns. Wide-outs Mario Manningham and Hakeem Nicks were also able to find the end zone enabling their offense to score on their first four possessions of the game.
Despite the Giants offense putting up a total of 44 points, don’t think their defense went unnoticed. Commandeered by defensive end Justin Tuck’s two sacks, Big Blue’s defense produced a total of six sacks and forced three fumbles. Oakland QB JaMarcus Russell managed just 100 yards on 8 of 13 passing. The one bright spot for the Raiders was that Tom Cable, their head coach, managed to refrain himself from knocking out any of his assistants’ teeth.
The show moves along with an in-depth look at the upcoming match-up between our beloved Giants and the 4-0 New Orleans Saints this Sunday at the Superdome.
Be sure and check out the next installment of Talking Giants Football next Tuesday at 10 pm and keep those phone calls coming.
