    Show Recap: NYG vs. DAL

In this week's episode, the NY Giants move to 2-0 in the NFC East, Cowboys OL Flozell Adams is public enemy number one, and LB Antonio Pierce feels that the visiting clubhouse inside the Cowboys’ new digs could have been a little better.

Anthony C. Wayne kicks off this installment of Talking Giants Football by praising the New York Giants receiving core and quarterback, Eli Manning. Wide-outs Mario Manningham and Steve Smith earned their team’s confidence by combining for a total of twenty receptions, 284 yards receiving, and two TDs. Manningham’s impressive juggling act in the end zone on Sunday night provokes Wayne to suggest to the fans that they should recite the words, “Add the Ham,” every time the second-year receiver scores a touchdown.

After giving the Super Bowl-champion quarterback a second round of applause, Tommy L. Biggs proceeds to mention the outstanding play of the Giants defensive backs, Kenny Phillips and Bruce Johnson.

Biggs and Wayne are then joined by a very rambunctious caller who feels strongly that the G-men can easily remedy their red zone deficiencies by implementing 6’ 6” rookie receiver, Ramses Barden, into the mix. The plucky Giants fans continues on with his riduculous plan to break former wide receiver, Plaxico Burress, out of prison. A second loyal listener goes a step further with his allegiance to Burress by asking to see the convicted receiver overtake Eli Manning as Giants quarterback. Biggs puts an end to all the shenanigans by alluding to Burress as a prima donna and believes that for the Giants to be a champion-caliber team they must buy into the notion that “divided you’ll fall, but together you’ll win.”

Wayne then moves the show along by questioning how easily the Dallas Cowboys (1-1) running backs, Marion Barber and Felix Jones, were able to run in bunches against the Giants defensive line. Both agree that Giants fans should keep an eye on this situation and expect the defensive front seven to improve.

The show saunters on with a look into next week’s matchup against the 0-2 Tampa Bay Buccaneers on the road. Wayne stresses the benefit of the Giants continued domination of the clock, the importance of establishing a solid running game, and asks for better play calling from Giants offensive coordinator, Kevin Gilbride, when inside the twenty.

Be sure a give a listen next Tuesday night as Talking Giants Football delves into the positives as well as the negatives of this current Giants football team.
