A Conversation with Horror Author Frank Bittinger all about ANGELS OF THE SEVENTH DAWN, Thursday November 5, 2009 @ 9:00 PM EST – Call in with your questions @ (347) 215-9836

By way of introduction Frank Bittinger claims that he writes gothic horror -- ghost stories, vampires and such -- because that's what he enjoys reading, and what a lot of his readers tell him they enjoy reading. He is an avid animal rescuer and donates part of his royalties to this cause. He also personally rescues animals and has quite the menagerie of rescued animals. He was invited by Brian Keene to join him and other horror authors in Lebanon, Pa, to raise money for the humane society on November 14, because Brian knows how important animals are to him. He also collects books, and since the fire that destroyed his home and belongings last May, he has managed, with the help of readers, to restore over half of the over 5,000 books he once had.
Angels of the Seventh Dawn, released in 2007, is about vampires, wereanimals, a series of mutilation murders, and magic. And there are a few sex scenes in the novel, so it may cause some of you to overheat a bit. With Angels of the Seventh Dawn Frank continues the journey through Western Maryland. He says the fun part is creating all the characters and having their paths cross. He suggests that you come along with him and uncover more of the myth of the Scarabae, and be introduced to more of the people who live in Western Maryland and get comfortable, we have a ways to go before the end.
Instead of including an excerpt from the next novel in my kind-of-a-series, let me just tell you there are more books coming in the future. At this time, I have approximately five more novels and a collection of short fiction (which will serve as a sort-of-prequel to my kind-of-a-series) planned for my Western Maryland and the Scarabae legend. My Hexology, My Scarabae Saga: Into the Mirror Black in stores now #7 Preditors & Editors Horror Novel of the Year 2006 Angels of the Seventh Dawn in stores now #9 Preditors & Editors Horror Novel of the Year 2007 Angels of the Mourning Light in stores now Shadows Amongst the Moonlight October 2010 Illusions of Darkness: The Forbidden October 2011 Lair of the Scarabae October 2012 Other works: Sinister Landscapes (story "Lead Me Into Temptation") available now #8 Preditors & Editors Anthology of the Year 2008 What's It All About? of
Angels of the Seventh Dawn
by
Frank Bittinger
Frank E Bittinger has created a novel with unique and unforgettable characters. The setting is an average hometown where a fight between good and evil could end in the apocalypse. However, in this novel the good is difficult to discern from the evil, and quickly puts this novel on a level different than most.
I enjoyed the unique skills and talents held by all the characters, whether a where-beast or a writer. The nightclub was a great setting with an interesting collection of creatures, angels, and demons.
This is a page-turner and the ending has a nice surprise for those of us who want more. I highly recommend this book. It is an excellent read from a very talented writer.
