Darren Poole
GUARDIAN OF THE GATE: BLOODLINE
September 24, 2009 @ 9:00 PM EST

Writing for Darren is an escape of the mundane, an enjoyment. He never once thought of having any of his work published, writing was just something that he liked to do. It was his wife Karen, who suggested the idea to him -- that he should send off a sample of his work.
Guardian of the Gate (Bloodline) had been his longest work yet, as his wife Karen asked him if he was going to try and make something of it, as he had placed hours and hours of his time into it. He did, and now (Bloodline) has been released.
Darren was born in Wigan, England in 1979. To Mother, Margaret Poole maiden name (Greenall) and to Father, Richard Irvin Poole, Darren is the youngest of four brothers, Brian Roscoe, Irvin, Paul Poole, and then Darren.
He is a loving husband and father to his wife Karen, and children, Callum James, Jessica Louise, and Shannon Marie. Darren himself is a very noble-minded person; he is both a teacher and student of the mystical and mantic arts. He is an avid fiction reader and of course now an author.
Darren can be somewhat obsessive about Nobility at times; he knows that his blood flows red, but he so longs for a hint of it to be blue. Darren has also had his time as a semi-professional wrestler under the ring name of Paul "Flash" Andrews, in which he has trained and helped quite a few students to get started within the UK wrestling scene, in over a ten-year time scale until he retired from the sport in 2007.
However, with Darren you never know if a comeback to wrestling is a never say never thing...

RENÉE’S REVIEW
by
“Exiled from heaven. Banished from hell. Stranded in our mortal real. Once a warrior of the light, corrupted by the shadows. A lost troubled soul. Cursed to walk our mortal realm; as an Immortal. Not one or the other, something different, both sinner and saint. Mortal souls are in dire need of a guardian. Now , they have one . . . “
Guardian of the Gate: Bloodline is a story that keeps you on the edge of your seat. The story becomes a movie in your mind as you read each page. I read this book in one sitting, and when I turned the last page, was disappointed that it had ended.
New author Darren Poole has created believable characters, even his angels and demons have human traits that we all recognize. As evil tries to take over the world, a dance hall owner, bartender, waitress, cook, and police detective attempt to foil their plan.
This highly imaginative writer has given us our next movie blockbuster. I highly recommend this book and I am looking forward to the next novel in this series, and much more from this talented and creative writer.

Nancy Lynn Jarvis author of
THE DEATH CONTINGENCY
& BACKYARD BONES
September 17, 2009 @ 9:00 PM EST
http://www.blogtalkradio.com/YolandaRenee/2009/09/18/CONVERSATIONS-with-Rene
The real estate market is a mess. What’s a Realtor to do? One twenty year veteran of the industry, Nancy Lynn Jarvis, is writing murder mysteries set in Santa Cruz County instead of selling houses. “Real estate is an interesting business,” the author says. “The stress level involved in buying or selling a home ranks right after death and divorce. People reveal a lot about themselves during the process. The business attracts its share of colorful practitioners, too.
Their stories and Nancy’s experiences provide the settings where her Realtor and part-time sleuth, Regan McHenry, works while she unravels mysteries.
After earning a BA in behavioral science from San Jose State University, Nancy worked in the advertising department of the San Jose Mercury News/. / A move to Santa Cruz meant a new job as a librarian and later a stint as the business manager of Shakespeare Santa Cruz. Nancy’s work history reflects her philosophy: people should try something radically different every few years. Writing is her newest adventure. "Nancy Lynn Jarvis used her years of experience in the real estate market to create protagonist Regan McHenry - a realtor who investigates murder mysteries in Santa Cruz County in between showing property. Nancy's books are smart, funny mysteries, which also give a true to life look at the life of a real estate agent." - - American Foy, S.F. Examiner.com, July 5, 2009
About Nancy’s Books:
Regan McHenry is a Santa Cruz, California, Realtor whose work puts her in the midst of mystery, mayhem, and murder. The amateur sleuth uses tools and techniques she's learned during her career and skills she's honed as a keen observer of human nature to solve mysteries - just not always soon enough to stay out of trouble. She's aided in her sleuthing by her husband, Tom Kiley, a computer programmer turned real estate broker, and by her friend Dave Everett, a cop reassigned as a police public relations ombudsman after losing an eye in the line of duty. Backyard Bones
It's not the first time Regan has experienced déjà-vu. But when the sensation involves finding a second body buried where one was found just weeks before, déjà-vu takes on new meaning. Someone murdered a girl on her seventeenth birthday, and as Regan delves into the motive behind the girl's murder, she discovers many people are trying to hide secrets about their entanglement with the dead teenager. Regan must figure out which of them is a murderer, and she has to do it carefully or she'll become the killer's next victim. Santa Cruz, California, real estate agent Regan McHenry, her husband, Tom Kiley, and their friend, police ombudsman Dave Everett are back in a new story of murder. They invite you to come along for the twists and turns of this new mystery. The Death Contingency
This murder mystery is set in Santa Cruz and Bonny Doon. A seller disappears before signing the grant deed. He turns up dead; and his nephew, a realtor Regan has known for years, becomes a person of interest in his death. She's convinced the authorities focus is all wrong and sets out to prove it. Then there's a second death in the neighborhood. When it's ruled accidental, Regan again finds herself at odds with the police. She thinks it's murder and even thinks she knows who the murderer is - but she has to unravel past secrets before anyone will take her seriously. And, the problem is - she doesn't want to be right. Join us Thursday night for a discussion about mystery, writing, and publishing, and how Nancy defines success!
THE DEATH CONTINGENCY & BACKYARD BONES
by Nancy Lynn Jarvis
Nancy Lynn Jarvis has taken her career as a Real Estate Agent and turned it into a mystery-writing phenomenon. The Regan McHenry Mystery Series is fun, easy reading filled with well hidden secrets, reminiscent of the Miss Marple series by Agatha Christie. Both novels held my interest from beginning to end, with a well paced, can’t put the book down, response from this reader. Her characters are real; her anecdotes from the real estate world ring of the truth, and add fun and humor. Her knack to take from her own life and the characters she’s met, make her novels stand out from the crowd.
I recommend these two novels THE DEATH CONTINGENCY AND BACKYARD BONES; you’ll want to add her books to your library. And yes, they are AWESOME!
