    Date / Time:

    Why do you write?

Daily life is full of its own drama, heartache, terror and tears, but sitting down and reading a good book erases the world, at least for a little while. The world of make believe, whether it’s fantasy, mystery, horror or even a great biography or book of inspiration – whatever the choice. It takes us on a trip away from pain -- to a place of hope, comfort, and love. I think the goal for most writers is to take the reader to a place where peace exists – where good defeats evil – and love defeats hate. Although, I realize that not all stories have the so-called happy ending, even make believe sometimes gives us a glimpse of the reality we try so hard to avoid, so it teaches too. Still it doesn’t matter, escape, entertainment, something to think about -- it’s what I look for, it’s what I want to provide, what about you?
