What's the deal with healthcare these days? Is Jamaican healthcare equipped to deal with the increasing rate of lifestyle illnesses such as diabetes and obesity caused from mimicking North American habits? Is free public healthcare a sustainable practice for Jamaica and other developing societies?

Is there a connection between healthcare and rationality? Given the advances in science and medicine, do "alternative" medical practices such as homeopathy and the "bush doctor" still have a place in modern healthcare? Might Jamaicans be putting their health in jeopardy by relying on these alternative methods?

Join the crew of Yardie Skeptics this Sunday, November 10th at 12:30pm as we investigate healthcare. Joining us live in studio will be Dr. Allyson G. Hall, Jamaican born associate professor at University of Florida in the Department of Health Services Research, Management, and Policy and Research Director for the University of Florida Center for Medicaid and the Uninsured.

In the second half of the show we'll be joined by Dr. Dennis McIntosh, anesthesiologist living in Florida.
