Call in to speak with the host
One the one hand, technology seems to have a fair amount of saturation in Jamaica - most persons have access to the internet, social networking is pervasive, and an astronomical amount of pings are sent each day. So why aren't we capitalizing on the use of technology in key areas such as education, the law and governance, social services and security? What kind of opportunities might Jamaica be missing out on by not taking full advantage of it's technological capacity? Are lack of resources to blame or is it due to a lack of critical thinking? Join the Yardie Skeptics this Sunday, November 3rd at 12:30pm EST as we investigate the status of technological advancement in Jamaica and whether there is a connection between technology and rationality. Our special guests for this episode will be Mark Wynter, former managing director of Jamaica Digiport and Yvonne McCalla-Sobers, chair of the Jamaica government's Jamaica E-Learning Company.
