You probably know, gamers play their games constantly, particularly when they have a new game or console. The trouble is that with the sustained game play, the design flaw of the Xbox 360 takes place when the console gets overheated from endless use. The solder on the circuit boards that holds the graphic processing unit and the CPU breaks and rolls off due to the heat. When this occurs, there is no longer a connection to the Xbox and the console is failed.

When this takes place, you are confronted with blinking red lights on the face of your system. These flashing red lights are appropriately called the red lights of death. Many gamers swear that they have to return the unit back to Microsoft to have it properly restored. The main stumbling block is if the product is out of its guarantee. Microsoft  charge $140 to fix the system, and although they claim it will only six to eight weeks for the repair, it is often longer than that. Then if all that's not enough add insult to injury, occasionally the flashing red light problem returns!
