    How Does Serve New England Work?

    First, register at any of our 250 chapters located throughout New England.

    If you need help finding a Serve Chapter near you, call us toll free at 1-888-742-7363 and we'll be glad to put you in touch with one in your area. You may also find a directory of Serve Chapters online @ http://www.servenewengland.org.

    Next you place your order.

     If you choose to register through your local chapter, they will help you place your order and take payments by cash or EBT card. Orders placed online will be charged to your Master Card, Visa, American Express, Discover or your debit card.

    Perform two hours of volunteer service in your community.

    Have your Community Service Receipt (available through your local chapter or online) signed by your service recipient.

    Finally, you arrive at your local chapter on Distribution Day.

    Hours may vary - call your local chapter for details), turn in your service receipt, pick up your Serve package and enjoy your delicious and nutritious food all month long!

    Volunteer Service

    Serve considers any uncompensated acts of kindness for others as qualified volunteer service.  Any service provided for anyone outside your immediate family qualifies. Examples of volunteer service include:

    Your local Serve Chapter
    Church, Library, hospital, or animal shelter
    Nursing Home, elderly housing or senior center
    Your child's or grandchild's school or day care
    Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, YMCA
    Food Pantry or Soup Kitchen
    Any Civic or Community Service Organization
    Babysitting for a friend or neighbor
    Helping an elder with cooking or transportation
    Public Access Cable TV
    Blogging for Support
    Internet Radio Outreach
    Internet Television Outreach
    Community Outreach Organizer
