AGNES NYAMAYARWO AND DEBBIE KREUSER ACTIVISTS FRIENDS OF "ONE" AND BONO Of U2 Speak About MPWN

On this special edition of Faith Talks Live Prayer, Dr Shirley Canniff of WSCIRO interviews, Agnes Nyamayarwo and Debbie Kreuser of MPWN. MPWN stands for "The Mulago Positive Women’s Network". MPWN was started in Kampala, Uganda, in January 2004 to focus more attention on the specific needs of HIV+ women and their families there. The MPWN’s mission is to assist these women in coping with the ramifications of their new "status". (Although on the decline in recent years, stigmatization and social isolation has often accompanied public acknowledgement of one’s HIV/AIDS status in many African countries.) The MPWN works to empower its members by providing them with essential information regarding their health status and by helping the women obtain marketable job skills in order to better maintain their families’ stability. All the women of the MPWN receive their ARV’s (anti-retroviral medications) through the U.S. government funded program PEPFAR which was established into law in 2003 to fight the spread of HIV/AIDS in fifteen targeted countries, mainly in Africa and the Caribbean Islands. Through the actions of U.S. advocacy groups such as ONE (www.one.org), PEPFAR has helped to sustain lives and create futures for nearly 1,000,000 people in Africa in just the last several years. Please join WSCIRO General Manager's Drs' Shirley Canniff and Jeffrey Canniff and guest's Debbie Kreuser and Agnes Nyamayarmo as they talk about Agnes's healing testimony and how Agnes became a global spokesperson and advocate with Bono of U-2 in regards to putting an end to Extreme Poverty and HIV/AIDS through the One Campaign, Data, PEPFAR, and TASO.

HUMANITARIAN CRISIS IN HAITI - Saint Boniface Haiti Foundation Blog

    Dear Friends of Haiti:

Haiti has been hit by the first large earthquake in 240 years. The enormity of the effects of this devastating 7.0 quake are only barely understood at this time. Thousands may have been killed and tens of thousands left homeless. This is a moment in which your solidarity is of critical importance. Haiti's grassroots movement - including labor unions, women's groups, educators and human rights activists, support committees for prisoners, and agricultural cooperatives - will attempt to funnel needed aid to those most hit by the earthquake. Grassroots organizers are doing what they can - with the most limited of funds - to make a difference. Please take this chance to lend them your support.

This is a time for all of us to act.

    What Can You Do?

We urge you to contribute generously, not only for this immediate crisis, but in order to support the long-run development of human rights, sustainable agriculture and economic justice in Haiti. During this period, if you or anyone you know are planning to make a donation to assist those in need, please consider SBHf. Donations will be forwarded to our partners on the ground to help them rebuild what has been destroyed.

In solidarity with the Haitian people,

    Nannette M. Canniff

    President/CEO

FAITH TALKS LIVE PRAYER : HOW TO RESPOND TO THE HAITIAN TRAGEDY

Haiti Update Join General Manager's of WSCIRO, Drs' Shirley and Jeffrey Canniff as they take a good look at the "Haitian Tragedy" and the public response in the media on both the local level and international level. Right now, there are many Faith Based ground outreaches that have been involved with relief efforts to Haiti on many levels for years prior to the 7.0 earthquake that is still claiming the lives of so many Haitian people and those that work with them. One of those organizations that we are closely connected to that are currently assisting the people of Haiti is Saint Boniface Haiti Foundation, which was founded in 1983 by CEO and mother in law, Nannette Canniff. As a result of this Nannette and her staff went down to the Island of Haiti in faith and established the hospital known as Saint Boniface Haiti Hospital in the Fond De Blanc region as well as the establishment of medical clinics in the surrounding areas, just 40 miles south of Port-Au-Prince. Nannette and her team have been providing assistance to the people of Fond De Blanc for a period of 27 years and have made a difference in providing a better quality of life in relation to providing good quality health care especially to mother's and infant that have been afflicted with the HIV virus that causes AIDS and other ailments such as providing bed nets a medications to combat malaria. Saint Boniface Haiti Foundation also provided better housing as well as school for the families of Fond De Blanc. There have been many work retreats consisting of young college students and medical personnel teams that have been a blessing to the people of Haiti as well as Fond De Blanc region and the need is even greater since the earthquake to continually work with the people of Haiti to build up the infrastructure that it would take in order to insure a good future for Haiti. To donate to the future destiny of Haiti and the continued efforts of Saint Boniface Haiti Foundation, please visit: http://haitihealth.org

A Thanksgiving Message: The Rebuilding of The Little Portion Hermitage "A Jesus Miracle" with John M

3rd Day of the Imminent Crisis: Fire Rebuilding Fund Appeal Share: Today we come to the third and final day of our Crisis Appeal. The 1st day was powerful. The 2nd day was still strong. But we need a Jesus miracle on this 3rd day! I have an idea how to accomplish it: If just 2,500 people out of our large email lists were to give a $100 donation we would fully accomplish our goal of $300,000, with the donations we have received so far! If 200 people could give $1,000 we would also achieve it. Pledges for gifts in the next months would also give us the promise we need! If our 5,000 Facebook Fans and Friends would circulate the appeal for $10-20 a person to their Facebook and Twitter friends we can accomplish our goal. If major donors would give we could greatly offset the burden as well. Of course, there are those who might consider repeat giving $10-20. $20 is the cost of a dinner for two at a restaurant. Think about it! Please send prayer requests to: prayers@littleportion.org Please make donations through any of these ways: Through the JMT website at http://www.JohnMichaelTalbot.Com Through our online store at http://www.TroubadourForTheLord.Net (This is the fastest way!) By calling our toll-free number1- 877-504-9865 By sending your check to: Little Portion Hermitage Monastery 350 CR 248 Berryville AR 72616? This miracle can be accomplished if you will help us! It is not our monastery, it is God's, and therefore it is yours!!! We promise to pray for each and every donor who helps us to make this New Monastery a home for worship, community, and ministry. Thank you for your help! You guys are the greatest, John Michael Talbot
