    Women's Business Failures?

In episode 5 of the Women's Small Business Blog Talk Radio, we discussed some of the thoughts surrounding the failure of women in business. Are the women's businesses really failing at the rates posed by researchers?
There are numbers floating around from 20% to 80% of women's businesses being considered as failures. However, they do not tend to discuss the reasons for business closure or if the business was sold. Instead, the researchers are following secondary sources of information, such as the Chamber of Commerce records and other such documentation, that simply shows women's businesses have been opened and then closed.
Is it possible that businesses are being sold or closed due to new businesses being opened or changed in status versus the proposed failures listed by researchers? This topic affects more than you probably think! Investors and loan officers are certainly aware of the statistics posited by these researchers. In a way, this can be a self-fulfilling prophecy!
We want to read what you have to say about this topic. Please either write your statements here or email us at womenssmallbusinessradio@yahoo.com! We look forward to reading your responses!
